If we could just agree that using less of our fossil fuel legacy is better than using more, and spent a few pennies in that direction every day, then we would not need to have "truth" crammed down our throats, and we could buy some more time to watch the trends. To me and most people in the world, it is pretty clear already that we are headed in a bad direction.
